Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid found in nature primarily in marine organisms such as microalgae, salmon, trout, krill, shrimp, crayfish, and crustaceans. It is the pigment that provides salmon and crustaceans with their pink-red color. The green microalga Haematococcus pluvialis is considered the richest source of astaxanthin. This is the source used for our NOW® products to help support sustainability. Astaxanthin has been found to be beneficial for asthma sufferers, aiding joint health, and reducing general inflammatory conditions associated with fibromyalgia, cardiovascular health, eye health, and brain health. The unique use of veg softgels makes this product suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Directions
Adult Dosage: Take 2-4 softgels daily with meals. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 3 months.
