Maca is a root indigenous to the Andes of Peru, also commonly known as “The Peruvian Ginseng”. Maca has long been used by indigenous people as part of a daily diet to promote optimal well being. Maca is a source of Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Iron, other essential vitamins and minerals as well as a host of antioxidants.

There are three varieties of Maca: Yellow, Black and Red-Purple Roots. Unlike Yellow Maca, Black & Red-Purple Maca Roots are the most elite of the varieties in that potent phytochemicals are found in the black and red-purple antioxidant rich pigments.

Using a proprietary cold gelatinization process, six pounds of 80% Black Maca Roots, 15% Red-Purple Maca Roots and 5% Yellow Maca Roots are condensed into one pound of powder.

As a tuber, Maca contains considerable amounts of starch. Organic Traditions Maca X-6 utilizes a proprietary cold gelatinization process in order to remove the starch from the tuber without the use of high heat, ensuring that the delicate compounds are not degraded. Through this process a greater concentration of powerful phytonutrients is obtained. 

Suggested Use

Add 1-3 teapsoons of Organic Traditions Maca X-6 Powder to water, coconut water, your favorite juice, smoothies, raw desserts, truffles, power bars, snacks, cereals, yogurt and more. Start with ½ teaspoon and build to 2-3 teaspoons a day. Do not consume Maca X-6 in the evening for it may provide too much energy.

Add 1-3 teaspoons of Organic Traditions Maca X-6 powder to your favorite smoothie recipe to create a nourishing, antioxidant-rich smoothie.
As there are no binders or excipients added, contents may settle so stir while drinking if mixing it with water or juice.
